The New England West Skating Club is a member club of United States Figure Skating (USFS). All club members are also members of USFS. The membership year is July 1 to June 30.

 

Membership in USFS allows a skater to:

  • Compete at USFS-sanctioned events;
  • Test at USFS-sponsored test sessions;
  • Participate in USFS qualifying events;
  • Vote and serve in club governance if 18 or older.

 

USFS Members also receive the following benefits:

  • Certificates of accomplishment for passing proficiency tests and placing at USFS qualifying events; 
  • A subscription to SKATING magazine;
  • Coverage under U.S. Figure Skating’s sports accident insurance policy.

 

Renewal of NEWSC membership for the 2023-2024 year is now available on EntryEeze.

 

For Skaters who are members of NEWSC or who have been part of our Learn to Skate program during 2022-2023 Fall, Winter, or Spring seasons: 

 

Click here to access your account and login to EntryEeze. If you have additional family members to add, click on “Add new family member.” Then go to “Apply/Renew” on the menu. We suggest that families begin with the youngest skater for smoothest enrollment. Continue to “Process another family member” until you have enrolled all the family members that you want to. Then go to your shopping cart and check out. 


NEWSC offers several categories of Home Club membership:

  • USFS Family memberships for two people — $125:

Family membership is required for a skater less than 18 years old and must include a parent or guardian. It is also available for two adults at the same address. Additional family members may join for an additional fee of $50 each.

  • USFS Adult and Coach memberships for a skaters or coaches at least 18 years old — $95;
  • USFS Skater under 18 for a skaters less than 18 years old whose families already have a USFS Family membership — $50;
  • USFS Collegiate membership for college-aged skaters — $150.
    This is a four-year membership that may be used only once by a skater.

Home Club is defined by USFS as the club that registers a skater with USFS and that a skater represents when competing in USFS events. NEWSC home club members receive all the benefits of membership in both USFS and NEWSC. They may participate in NEWSC programs at NEWSC member rates. Those 18 or older are eligible to participate in club governance.

 

NEWSC also offers a USFS Associate Membership at $50, for skaters who are Home Club members of another USFS club but wish to participate in our programs. 

Associate Members may:

               Subscribe to NEWSC practice ice at member rates;
               Guest on NEWSC practice ice at member rates;
               Purchase coupon books at member rates;
               Enroll in any of the classes offered by NEWSC at member rates;
               Participate in NEWSC-sponsored tests and exhibitions at member rates.

 

Learn to SkateUSA Memberships are purchased by families for their participating skaters participating in our Learn to Skate program. This should be done through EntryEeze at the same time as enrolling in classes, For more information about our Learn to Skate program, go to our Learn to Skate and Bridge Classes page.

 

Learn to Skate Members from our classes may:

               Subscribe to NEWSC practice ice;
               Guest on NEWSC practice ice at member rates;
               Purchase coupon books at member rates;
               Enroll in any of the classes offered by NEWSC;
               Participate in NEWSC-sponsored exhibitions at member rates;
               Enter USFS-sanctioned Learn-to-Skate competitions.
