Subscriptions to Practice Ice

  • Subscriptions for one hour of practice ice per week in a term (a term is a subdivision of a season), are available to all USFS NEWSC members (including Associate members).

  • Each Winter 2 Sunday subscription package costs $196.00 and contains 14 flex-tickets that expire at the end of the term. 
  • Each Winter 2 Thursday package costs $140.00 and contains 10 flex-tickets that expire at the end of the term and costs $140.00. 
  • Tickets may be used on either Sunday or Tuesday sessions. 
  • All subscription tickets are non-transferrable and expire at the end of the term. Families with more than one skater may share tickets, as long as each skater has purchased a subscription. 
  • New subscriptions will be offered for each term. Tickets may be used as soon as they are purchased, even if the listed term has not yet begun. 
  • A practice ice subscription, is required for any NEWSC USFS member skater taking private lessons from our coaches on NEWSC practice ice. The practice ice time may be used in any combination of half-hour sessions on a Sunday or Thursday.
  • Because the tickets must be hand-delivered to the skater, the subscription should be purchased on EntryEeze at least 24 hours before skating.
  • Skaters purchasing a subscription will receive a sheet of tickets (note that a ticket is different from a coupon!) bearing their name and the expiration date of the term. They may be used on any NEWSC practice ice session before the expiration date, in any pattern. For example, skate one hour (2 tickets) each week; or skate 90 minutes (3 tickets) some weeks, fewer or none in other weeks.
  • There will be no makeups and no prorating of subscription prices for skaters who subscribe late.
  • If a subscription holder runs out of tickets during the term, unexpired coupons may be used for additional ice. Skaters currently owning unexpired coupons must spend down coupons in pairs (at least one hour of skating required for each visit).
  • A mini-subscription, for 30 minutes of practice ice per week in a term, will be offered each term to skaters enrolled in our LTS classes. Mini-subscriptions are also available to subscribers who want additional practice time.

Guesting on or Walking on to Practice Ice sessions

  • For NEWSC home club or Associate members, the walk-on fee is $35 for one hour.
  • For non-NEWSC members, the walk-on fee is $40 for one hour.
  • The fee is payable by cash, check, or two unexpired coupons. 
  • All walk-ons are for at least one hour.

LTS Associateship — $35
This is for skaters with LTS-USA memberships who have not enrolled in a NEWSC-sponsored LTS class during the current membership year (July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2026).

Skaters with Associateships may:

  • Subscribe to NEWSC practice ice at member rates;
  • Guest on NEWSC practice ice at member rates;
  • Participate in NEWSC-sponsored tests and exhibitions at member rates.
